Dear Brothers & Sisters,
What do you do when the answer to your prayers doesn't come right away?
Do you pout, get louder, or quit asking? I've done all of the above, but how should we respond?
The prophet Habakkuk had questions for God, questions about God's plan for Judah and this was (part of) the LORD's response:
"For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end - it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay." - Habakkuk 2:3
God is not delayed, He arrives precisely when He means to. His answer will come at the right time. The question: Do you trust God's timing enough to wait for his answer?
Don't give up. Keep praying and waiting until the Lord accomplishes his purpose(s).
In Christ's Service,
Waiting on the Lord with you,
Matt
P.S. Keep Jody in your prayers this week as she is having eye surgery on Friday, the 13th to repair a macular hole.
This is what she wrote:
Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ, I am reminded that our prayers are like sweet fragrance to our God... Ask Jesus for courage for me and a speedy recovery. I also ask for Jesus's healing touch , patience and wisdom through the next weeks and months ... in hopes my eyesight may be restored. And pray for Antje as she eagerly is providing for me - in her home - with loving care as a care giver and a cherished friend.
