"No god Like Our God" 2/17/26

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Do you realize how privileged we are to know the LORD God? 

Moses wrote, 

"What great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the LORD our God is to us, whenever we call upon him?" (Deuteronomy 4:7)

The old gods, the gods the nations worshiped, were cruel and unapproachable (see Deuteronomy 12:31 for one example of what these 'gods' required of men. The gods men worship today likewise fail us. Money, Power, Influence, Pleasure none of these is an unfailing Refuge. But Yahweh the true and living God is near to those who call upon him with sincerity (Psalm 145:18). 

The one who trusts in the LORD God has this assurance that "whenever we call upon him" He is near. Not sometimes, not most of the time, whenever we call upon him.

Do you struggle to pray? Do you struggle to believe that he is near? Tell Him so, for he has promised he is near to all who call upon Him. He is not surprised by your doubts and He will not ignore those who fear Him. Truly, there is no god like our God so full of compassion for His people.
